Notice of resolution of dispute regarding counterfeit products in Indonesia

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of our group's products.

In 2013 in Indonesia, we discovered batteries wearing a mark that closely resembles our registered trademark (hereinafter referred to as a "counterfeit product"). In February 2014, a police raid action was taken against a counterfeit product vendor (Raja Aki, located in Palembang, South Sumatra, hereinafter referred to as the "other party"). 7,825 counterfeit products were confiscated. In addition, our company won civil lawsuits related to this matter in November 2020, and finally, in January 2024, the other party admitted the fact of infringement, pledged not to infringe on our intellectual property rights in the future, and published an apology in a national newspaper in Indonesia.

The "GS" brand is one of our important intellectual properties that we use outside of Japan. We will take a resolute stance against acts that infringe on them and will strive to protect this brand value and ensure that our customers can purchase with peace of mind.
