GS Yuasa Corporation (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 6674; “GS Yuasa”) announced that its indirectly owned subsidiary, Siam GS Battery Co., Ltd. (President - Hiroshi Tateiwa, Samut Prakan Province, Thailand), has established the new company; Siam GS Battery Myanmar Limited in Thilawa Special Economic Zone, Yangon Region, Myanmar, in January 2018.

Siam GS Battery Myanmar Limited will have the functions of sales, distribution and battery charging, for lead-acid storage batteries for automotive and household power supply, and its operation will start from January 2019. The expansion of motorization has been expected in the Mekong Subregion, and among such region, Myanmar market demand is growing particularly. We will promote our performance in supplying batteries locally and provide our service and quality to the customers in Myanmar.
